Purpose Statement
To contribute towards a consistent client experience by ensuring that client accounts are updated/corrected or closed in line with requests:
- Apply basic financial / accounting knowledge to perform various accounting actions on clients’ accounts, nominated user accounts and General Ledgers,
- Apply specified financial and non-financial transactional codes to update accounts and ensure funds reconciliation on the Bank’s Financial statements.
Experience
Minimum:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a banking, retail, finance, client service environment.
- Experience working on SBL (standard banks link)
Ideal:
- Contact Centre experience and/or function-relevant experience (e.g. collections experience)
- Capitec Bank experience
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- Certification in Finance or Accounting - Financial Accounting
Knowledge
Minimum
- Understanding of basic mathematical / financial accounting principles
- Relevant banking systems
IDEAL:
- Working knowledge (role specific) of legislation relevant to banking environment (i.a. FICA, National Credit Act (NCA), Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI)
- Capitec Bank policies, including:
- Adherence policies
- Employee Accounts Policy
