Purpose Statement
To lead and manage a technical operations team, responsible for driving performance iro the implementation, maintenance and optimisation of devices and related systems, ensuring operational excellence through effective team leadership, tactical planning and continuous improvement of technical workflows.
To serve as a central point of coordination for device-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with business requirements, service level agreements and stakeholder expectations.
Education (Minimum)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration
Education (Ideal or Preferred)
- Certification in Project Management Certification (i.e. Prince 2, Agile, DSDM, Atern)

Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge
- General technical understanding of device ecosystems (e.g., POS systems, mobile devices, IoT, or specialised equipment depending on the department)
- Familiarity with operational workflows and SLAs/OLAs
Knowledge of compliance standards and internal controls - Awareness of procurement and inventory processes
Basic understanding of networking and system integration - Troubleshooting and technical support
- Systems and process optimisation
- Data analysis and reporting (e.g., dashboards, KPIs)
- Budgeting and cost control
- Stakeholder and client management
- Logistics and supply chain practices and principles
- Vendor and supplier coordination and understanding of 3rd party service level agreements
- Client service principles and practices.
- Relevant legislation and regulatory bodies.
Experience
- 3–5 years in a team leadership or supervisory role, ideally in a technical, client service environment
- Experience in technical operations such as device management or IT support
- 1+yrs proven track record of leading technical and/or cross-functional teams
- Experience with process improvement and service delivery optimisation
- Exposure to vendor/supplier management and contract oversight
- Hands-on experience with technical implementations or rollout
