About the Finance Department

Our Financial Management team is at the heart of Capitec’s strategic goals, driving financial excellence, innovation, and long-term business growth. We are transforming into a highly strategic, tech-driven function, leveraging AI, data analytics, and automation to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve our financial processes. The role of finance professionals at Capitec is evolving from transactional tasks to more strategic and advisory responsibilities, focusing on real-time insights, integrated systems, and data-driven decision-making, all while emphasizing sustainability and risk management.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for individuals with a solid foundation in operational finance and a strong attention to detail, including experience in one or more of the following areas:

• • • • • Financial Accounting, Systems Accounting or Accounts Payable
        • Reconciliations, journals amd transaction processing
        • Financial controls, audit support and compliance
        • Experience in financial systems and tools (e.g. Excel, ERP/accounting systems, reconciliation tools)
        • A relevant qualifcation in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or working toward one)

Experience levels may vary depending on the role, from entry-level clerks to more experienced accounting professionals.

What You’ll Do:

Depending on the role, you may contribute in areas such as:

• • • • • Financial and systems-driven reconciliations
        • Month-end and year-end processes
        • Journals, settlements, payments and balances
        • Exception handling, controls and audit support
        • Working with finance systems and operational platforms
        • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and improve processes
