What you'll do

  • Investigate fraud cases from start to finish – including credit application fraud, insurance claims fraud, internal fraud and criminal syndicate activity
  • Gather and assess evidence, then present it clearly for disciplinary hearings and criminal proceedings
  • Identify gaps in our controls and recommend practical ways to close them
  • Brief stakeholders on findings confidently and clearly
  • Work across teams – legal, compliance and operations – to support the full investigation process
  • Conducting of Risk Assessments
  • Conducting of Fraud Training

What we're looking for

  • At least 3-5  years' experience as a forensic investigator or auditor
  • Proven experience in the financial services/Banking/Insurance sector is a strong advantage
  • Solid knowledge of investigation methods and criminal law, including the law of evidence
  • Knowledge of fraud in banking or insurance is a plus
  • Grade 12 (minimum); a relevant qualification in Law or Finance is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident presenting and reporting findings to different audiences
  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and sound decision-making under pressure
  • Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook Forensic Investigator

Conditions of employment

  • A valid driver's licence and your own vehicle is required Forensic Investigator
  • You'll need to be available after hours in the event of an emergency
  • A clear criminal and credit record is required Forensic Investigator
