What you'll do
- Investigate fraud cases from start to finish – including credit application fraud, insurance claims fraud, internal fraud and criminal syndicate activity
- Gather and assess evidence, then present it clearly for disciplinary hearings and criminal proceedings
- Identify gaps in our controls and recommend practical ways to close them
- Brief stakeholders on findings confidently and clearly
- Work across teams – legal, compliance and operations – to support the full investigation process
- Conducting of Risk Assessments
- Conducting of Fraud Training
What we're looking for
- At least 3-5 years' experience as a forensic investigator or auditor
- Proven experience in the financial services/Banking/Insurance sector is a strong advantage
- Solid knowledge of investigation methods and criminal law, including the law of evidence
- Knowledge of fraud in banking or insurance is a plus
- Grade 12 (minimum); a relevant qualification in Law or Finance is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident presenting and reporting findings to different audiences
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and sound decision-making under pressure
- Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook Forensic Investigator
Conditions of employment
- A valid driver's licence and your own vehicle is required Forensic Investigator
- You'll need to be available after hours in the event of an emergency
- A clear criminal and credit record is required Forensic Investigator
