Solve what's broken. Build what's next.

Payments don't fix themselves. We're growing our Payments division and we need someone who knows how to sit at the junction of business and tech — and get things done there.

This role exists because our corporate clients depend on payments working every day, and the team needs someone who can keep things running and make them better. You'll be the primary connection between business stakeholders and our IT teams — the person who turns a problem into a solution.

What you'll do

  • Work with stakeholders to understand and prioritise business needs, then analyse and document those requirements so everyone is clear on scope and direction.
  • Troubleshoot system issues end to end — from first contact through to resolution, escalating to the right level when needed.
  • Review how systems are configured and performing, spot weaknesses and recommend improvements.
  • Design test cases and run unit testing to make sure solutions work before they go live, including post-implementation checks where needed.
  • During rollouts, guide and clarify system requirements to make sure what gets built actually matches what the business needs.
  • Share automation knowledge across the team and support integration work in the environment.

About our team

Our Payments division sits at the heart of how money moves — for individuals and for the corporate partners who rely on our infrastructure every day. The work here spans the full payments environment, which means real, high-stakes problems with direct impact on how clients experience financial services.

We design, configure and maintain system automation and integration across the development lifecycle, and we provide technical support and query resolution to keep things running. The team is collaborative and close-knit — business, tech and client-facing teams all in one space.

Why this role is different

  • It's a genuine hybrid: part systems analyst, part technical support — your skills will grow in both directions
  • You'll work directly with corporate clients and our developers, giving you wide visibility across how payments actually work
  • No two problems look the same here, so you'll build real troubleshooting depth fast
  • You'll be expected to take ownership of your own technical growth — and the environment will help you do it

What we're looking for

  • 2 – 4 years' technical experience in systems analysis, software development, systems engineering or similar, including experience working across cross-functional and technical teams
  • A PASA certification — this is a non-negotiable requirement given the transactional nature of the role
  • Experience in payments or a related technical environment (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of systems analysis methods, defining functional and non-functional requirements, SQL and API integration (REST, SOAP or similar)
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles, banking systems, card processing and quality assurance best practices (advantageous)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with solid business writing ability and attention to detail

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Certification in ITIL

Skills

  • Analytical Skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Business writing skills
  • Communications Skills
  • Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills
  • Numerical Reasoning skills
  • Problem solving skills

  • Clear criminal and credit record
