Business Engineer: Integrated Business Planning (Cape Town or Johannesburg)

Purpose Statement


To imagine, innovate, implement and improve the Capitec Management Operating System (Capitec MOS) to deliver on Capitec’s Vision

Primary Focus: To translate Capitec’s vision and strategy to:

1. facilitate the implementation of the enterprise strategic objectives through leveraging the Capitec MOS
2. evolve the future Integrated Business Planning (IBP) architecture in support of Capitec MOS
3. develop and maintain IBP implementation roadmap
4. drive the delivery of the planning initiatives in support of IBP

Secondary Focus: Translate business needs emanating from various projects, ideas or system changes across Shared Services into business requirements for developing/buying IT systems and developing project implementation plans



  • 8-10 years of enterprise wide Supply Chain and planning experience


  • Translating corporate strategies and objectives into planning capabilities
  • Initiation and implementation of projects with the goal to implement the IBP target operating model and improve business performance
  • Management/Leadership experience

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
  • A relevant degree in Industrial Engineering or Logistics

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • A relevant qualification in Business Engineering or Finance


Knowledge of the following areas are beneficial to perform the job:

  • Banking transactional processes
  • Enterprise wide performance management
  • Knowledge of ERP Logistics system (SAP, Oracle) principles
  • Business process mapping methodologies
  • Project Management methodologies
  • Continuous improvement best practices (Lean, 6-Sigma, Theory of constraints)

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required
