Data Solutions Analyst III

We rely on data to make confident, informed decisions. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior business and technical teams to understand data and analytics needs, and translate them into scalable, governed data warehouse solutions. You’ll play a key role in building a single, reusable data foundation that supports multiple use cases across the organisation. This is a senior role where influence, leadership and sound judgement matter as much as technical depth.

Purpose Statement

This role exists to bridge business strategy and data delivery.You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand data and analytics needs, translate them into robust data warehouse and Lakehouse solutions, and ensure a single, reusable enterprise data foundation that supports multiple use cases—from reporting and dashboards to advanced analytics. You will play a key role in shaping enterprise data architecture, embedding governance and standards, and enabling high‑quality, trusted data that drives business decision‑making.

What you will be doing :

• Gather, analyse and clarify complex business data and analytics requirements
• Translate business needs into enterprise‑ready data warehouse and Lakehouse solutions
• Guide data architecture decisions with future scalability in mind
• Drive consistency in metadata, definitions and data standards
• Embed data governance principles in all deliverables
• Lead cross‑functional teams from a data perspective, improving collaboration and outcomes
• Own end‑to‑end testing, validation and business sign‑off to reduce post‑production defects
• Advise on BI strategy and data visualisation best practice, linking insights to business performance
• Anticipate the business impact of data decisions and influence stakeholders across teams
• Mentor others and contribute to Communities of Practice, research and continuous improvement

What you'll need:

Minimum Experience:

• Honours Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 8-10+ years of experience translating business needs into technical solutions, with deep expertise in data architecture, SQL, data modeling, ETL, and data analysis—combined with strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership in delivering high-quality, cloud-based data solutions.
• Deep expertise in data architecture, including data warehousing and Lakehouse concepts
• Strong SQL skills for enterprise‑level data validation and analysis
• Proven experience in ETL processes, data modelling and cloud‑based data platforms
• At least 5 years’ experience leading, mentoring and guiding others
• Experience driving standards, governance and best practice across large data environments
