Purpose Statement

Decision Scientists are expected to translate data into usable strategic information and influence business decision through analytics, to develop credit scoring models using the most applicable modelling techniques and to optimize our client’s experience through ensuring the models and client strategies are designed to meet the client’s and business need across Granting, Account Management and Recoveries and Collections.

Experience

  • 4 years’ relevant experience in statistical analysis

 

  • Experience must include the following (within the Retail Credit Risk Management Environment):
    • Extracting and Aggregating Data from Large Relational Databases
    • Data Mining and Predictive Modelling

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Honours Degree in Mathematics or Data Science

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Masters Degree in Mathematics or Data Science

Knowledge

  • Analytics
  • Predictive Modelling and Machine Learning
  • Project management methodologies
  • IT implementation cycle
  • Credit cycle
  • Technical understanding and knowledge (different operating systems / databases / programming languages)
