About Our Finance Department

Our Financial Management team is at the heart of Capitec’s strategic goals, driving financial excellence, innovation, and long-term business growth. We are transforming into a highly strategic, tech-driven function, leveraging AI, data analytics, and automation to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve our financial processes. The role of finance professionals at Capitec is evolving from transactional tasks to more strategic and advisory responsibilities, focusing on real-time insights, integrated systems, and data-driven decision-making, all while emphasizing sustainability and risk management. 

Your key Responsibilities and Impact

You will be overseeing the insurance division, understanding its various aspects, and supporting financial decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Financial Planning & Analysis – Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to drive strategic financial decisions.
  • Business Partnership – Serve as a key liaison between Executives, Heads of Departments, and Financial Management, ensuring alignment on financial matters.
  • Strategic Financial Support – Provide insights that connect operational drivers, business strategy, and financial performance, enabling accurate and effective decision-making.

 

 

Your contributions will play a crucial role in optimizing financial performance and driving business success.

The Experience & Skills You Need

  • CA(SA) qualification with 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in insurance is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and translate insights into action.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
