About the role

The role will support the Product Head in producing the best product; optimizing the product through directing the building and development of the product throughout its life cycle, partnering, and collaborating with the Software Development Manager and teams around the sequence/priority in which to build and develop the product. 

Our Ideal candidate has:

  • An Engineering degree or any related qualification. 
  • At least 8 years’ management experience; senior level product development or product manager/owner 
  • 5+ years’ experience managing, developing, and delivering a product previously. 
  • Tactical and Operational Levels: You’ve worked at both tactical and operational levels, providing input into product strategy and business planning.
  • Integration of Business and Technical Segments: You’ve successfully integrated business and technical product segments to achieve objectives and delivery targets.
  • Effective Communication: You have experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Document Authoring: You’ve authored documents related to the product life cycle, including business plans, product roadmaps, business cases, and requirements.
  • Usability Studies and Data-Driven Decision-Making: You’ve conducted usability studies, customer research, and used data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success.
  • Client Development and Product Validation: You’ve validated products through customer feedback and aligned operational initiatives with corporate strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Team Management: You’ve achieved goals and objectives by managing cross-functional teams, including hybrid teams.
  • Business Development in Banking/Financial Landscape: You have experience in business development within the banking and financial sector.

Minimum Requirements

  • A completed relevant tertiary qualification.
  • At least 5-8 years’ management experience, senior level product development or product manager/owner experience
