Purpose Statement
To provide assurance on the status of risk controls and minimise legal risks relating to Collections and Recoveries through:
- Assuming responsibility and full ownership for the planning and day-to-day management of the Operational Risk Support function.
- Implementing and executing on a risk control plan that ensures RCSAs are conducted and follow-through on actions taken, internal audit and compliance actions are tracked and assurance provided on adherence to commitments
- Supporting the wider Collections and Recoveries Department with complex escalations.
- Managing and guiding the ARL (Allegations of Reckless Lending) as well as Managing the court order portfolio.
Experience
Experience:
- 6yrs+ working experience gained in professional, service or risk orientated environments
- 4yrs + management, leadership experience
- Experience in engaging with regulators and industry bodies
- Experience of problem-solving and managing complex and sensitive client situations
- experience in an audit, or operational risk, or debt management environment
Banking experience and with credit risk being and advantage
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or Commerce
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
