Purpose Statement
  • To improve claims operational excellence, increase customer satisfaction, minimize losses for Capitec Insurance through accurate and holistic assessment of insurance funeral claims in accordance with terms and conditions of the respective policy/ies, legislative frameworks and goals, objectives, processes and standards sets by Capitec.

Experience

Minimum:

  • 1+ years Funeral claims assessing experience
 
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
  • A relevant qualification in Healthcare or Science
 
Knowledge

Miniumum:

  • Understanding of the long-term insurance industry and claims handling processes, including the disability landscape 
  • Understanding of fully underwritten insurance policies, including underwriting criteria, exclusions, and conditions

Ideal:

  • Ideally, an understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and causes of death in the context of life insurance claims.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal framework relating to non medical insurance claims
