About The Role

Capitec is looking for exceptional Business Analysts to join our Talent Pipeline for upcoming roles. Whether you’re an emerging analyst or a seasoned specialist, if you’re driven by curiosity, collaboration, and real impact, this is your opportunity to come forward.

The Business Analyst role is a critical position within the purpose lending space of the organization, responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to support the delivery of new products and enhancements. The individual in this role will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into detailed requirement specifications, and collaborate with developers, testers, and other team members to ensure accurate implementation. Additionally, the Business Analyst will manage the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within the delivery component, review test plans, validate test results, and ensure timely and effective project delivery.

Where do you fit?

BA Level One (Junior): You have foundational analysis skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and exposure to Agile teams. You’re eager to learn and contribute to discovery, documentation, and testing support.

BA Level Two (Intermediate): You own medium-complexity initiatives end‑to‑end, lead workshops, manage dependencies, and bring strong stakeholder engagement, process modelling and data analysis skills.

BA Level Three (Senior): You shape complex programmes, define value metrics, coach others, and influence solution design across multiple domains; comfortable balancing client value, risk, and delivery pace.

Education (Minimum)

  • Certification in Business Analysis

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience in business analysis, with a strong emphasis on analytical skills and independent problem-solving.
  • Experience in finance or credit is highly preferred, though not strictly required if the candidate has strong analytical skills and can adapt quickly. 
  • A diploma or certificate in business analysis is preferred
  • Strong communication skills to effectively gather and verify requirements from stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to create comprehensive requirement specifications and ensure thorough testing and validation

Minimum Knowledge 

  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to manage the entire lifecycle within the delivery component.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand and document their needs, translating them into detailed requirement specifications.
  • Conduct thorough analysis to identify all necessary details, impacts, and grey areas, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and other team members to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
  • Review test plans and validate test results to ensure they meet the documented requirements.
