Purpose Statement

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the Recoveries strategy as part of the broader BSC Divisional strategy, ensuring it supports and delivers the organisational goals.
  • Ensure alignment of the Recoveries strategy with the overall Credit management strategy. 
  • Oversee the effective execution of the strategy through a comprehensive Recoveries business plan, providing effective leadership and management of the functions within the Recoveries department.

Experience

  • 10yrs+ management experience in an increasingly senior roles in a credit environment with responsibility for Recoveries.
  • Proven experience of using influence and relationships to drive and achieve objectives. 
  • Experience of managing large teams 
  • Experience of successfully leading, planning and managing Recoveries operations and initiatives 
  • Influencing and providing strategic input and regular exposure to Executive level engagement

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Commerce

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience of the Credit life cycle/value chain.
  • Expert knowledge of Recoveries and recoveries best practice
  • Commercial, business and financial principles and practices and acumen. Building and developing effective teams.
  • Credit management systems.
  • Governance and credit management principles
  • Business products, processes, policies and systems
  • Fundamental IT systems and data analysis
  • Quality principles and practice
  • Leadership, mentoring and coaching methods and practices.
  • Reporting, budgeting, planning, networking practices
