Purpose Statement

  • To manage the relationships and interactions with providers of reinsurance, burial repatriation services, education trust benefits, unclaimed benefits fund, insurance industry verification of client details, deceased verification service providers and support the Sanlam Funeral JV operational matters

    To manage the continuous improvement of client experience on insurance products through the various sales and service channels 

     

Experience

Minimum

  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in a Financial Crimes Operations environment, dealing with detection and response within a banking / financial services organisation
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in leading a team
  • 10+ years' insurance industry experience
  • 5+ years’ experience managing and developing third party suppliers
  • Working at tactical and operational levels and providing input into business planning.  
  • Career experience to include some time in one or more technical roles.  
  • Achieving goals and objectives through cross functional teams.  
  • Working with remote / hybrid teams.  
  • Regular reporting on business matrix
  • Experience of management in a fast-paced and complex business setting
  • Contribute and be accountable to relevant legislation pertaining to fraud and banking.

Ideal

  • Insurance claims management and/or processing 
  • Life insurance Management of service providers 

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Forensics or Business Management

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Honours Degree in Forensics or Business Management

  • Financial acument sufficient for budget management
  • Insurance product expertise and process know-how
