About The Role

As a Senior Data Modeller, you will design and implement data modelling solutions that support product and business requirements. You’ll work across enterprise, conceptual, logical, and physical levels to ensure optimal data structures and maintain the Enterprise Data Model as a governed asset. This role is critical to maintaining modelling standards and supporting engineering teams with high-quality data environments. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing dimensional data models using methodologies like Kimball or Inmon. 
  • Translating business requirements into logical data models. 
  • Supporting engineers with guidance on the physical model and the implementation challenges. 
  • Providing technical guidance on data modelling initiatives. 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with architectural objectives. 

What We Are Looking For

 

Experience: 

  • 3–5 years in dimensional data modelling.  
  • Proven use of modelling tools such as ER Studio, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or IBM Data Architect. 
  • Experience in complex data environments and data infrastructure support. 
  • Proven technical subject matter guidance and leadership on data modelling initiatives or projects.  
  • Familiarity with financial services or retail data models is a plus. 

 

Knowledge: 

  • Deep understanding of data modelling principles including conceptual, logical, and physical models. 
  • Expertise in dimensional modelling and data warehousing. 

 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities. 
  • Attention to detail and decision-making capabilities. 
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and lead with purpose.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering. 

  • Certification in Data Management (preferred).
