About the role:
As a Developer (AI), you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing conversational AI journey flows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business/system analysts, and developers to create seamless and natural interactions between users and our AI products.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design conversational flows, dialogue management systems and natural language integrations.
- Develop and integrate AI-powered chatbots into different channels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with new and existing systems.
- Configure, test, and optimise conversational platforms (e.g. LivePerson, IBM Watson, Salesforce Einstein, AWS Lex)
- Monitor performance metrics (system and users) and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop and fine-tune NLP engines for intent detection, entity recognition, and sentiment analysis
- Create comprehensive testing plans for conversational AI interfaces.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality releases
- Work closely with Product Manager to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation (e.g. journey designs, intent test samples, etc)
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members to foster a culture of innovation.
Our ideal candidate has:
- · A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Sciences
- Other qualifications will be considered based on work experience.
- Relevant certifications will be considered.
- · A certification in Conversational AI Design is advantageous.
- · Minimum 3+ years of professional conversational AI design and development experience
- · Experience designing virtual agents for various channels (app, web, WhatsApp, etc) using bot platforms
- · Experience working with REST APIs and JSON
- · Minimum 3+ years working with Natural Languages Understanding and working with intents and entities.
- · Experience creating journey maps, process flows, and system integration maps.
- · Knowledge of conversational AI platforms (Live Person, IBM Watson, Microsoft Composer, Dialog Flow, etc.)
