About the role:
The Product specialist in Business Banking – CED is responsible for translating business requirements into detailed processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing client experience. They co-ordinate with technical and business stakeholders to drive product development and delivery. They will support the Product Manager with end-to-end product management including technical understanding of API’s, systems integrations and relevant tools. They will prepare and delivery progress updates and presentations to stakeholders.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Grade 12 National Certificate (Minimum)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- 7 years Product management and product development experience, specially in credit products
- Technical understanding, including API’s, system integrations, and tools like Jira and Confluence
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
- Experience with regulatory requirements in Credit (e.g POPIA, NCA)
- Provides domain knowledge and understanding of client needs, competitor landscape and international best practices
- Accountable and responsible for delivery and stakeholder management
- Takes ownership of change management initiatives
- Business requirement gathering
- Process mapping
Skills:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management abilities.
- Effective communication, including presenting and translating information for business audiences
- Leadership and people skills, as the role involves managing relationships
- Adaptability and problem-solving, especially in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Collaboration and teamwork across technical and business teams
- Ability to handle ambiguity and drive projects with quick turnaround.
Qualifications (Minimum)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management or Information Technology
