About the role:

A Back End Software Engineer (Level II) is a key member of a cross‑functional delivery team within the Payments domain. The role is responsible for the full software development lifecycle from design and implementation to deployment and ongoing operational support. Operating within a high‑scale, high‑availability environment, the engineer builds reliable server‑side systems and APIs that power core payment capabilities.

Engineers at this level translate business and technical requirements into working software, contribute to architectural decisions, ensure system performance and scalability, and uphold strong engineering standards across the Payments ecosystem.

Our ideal candidate has:

Minimum Education

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Preferred Education

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years’ proven experience in back‑end software development
  • Experience delivering software projects end‑to‑end
  • Experience with back‑end frameworks, cloud services, and container-based environments

Tech Stack:

  • Required / Strong:
    • Java (Spring Framework)
  • Beneficial / Exposure:
    • GoLang
    • .NET
    • PostgreSQL
