Purpose Statement

  • To contribute towards the formulation and enablement of the bank’s client optimisation strategy across products and services and maximise the bank’s value to clients through:
    • Providing specialist expertise and data insights linked to product knowledge to support the execution of a data-driven client optimisation strategy.
    • Generating data-lead insights to improve processes and product value propositions, which will enhance client experience.

Experience

Minimum

  • 3 - 4 years working in a within financial services sector, in an analytical capacity.
  • Exposure to a data-driven culture / business environment.
  • Proven experience in providing insights based on data analysis.
  • Applying data visualisation tools and technologies to facilitate the generation of insights.

 

Ideal:

  • 4+ years’ experience in data driven decision within financial services sector

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Economic and Management Sciences

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Honours Degree in Commerce or Economic and Management Sciences

Knowledge

Minimum:

Understanding of:

  • Data analytics
  • Scorecard building, modelling and portfolio management
  • Understanding of scored lending / a volume book
  • Understanding of the SME environment
  • Financial Services Industry (retail or other)
  • Basel II
  • Credit Risk regulatory requirements
  • Data visualisation tools and technologies

 

Ideal:

  • Knowledge of credit products
  • Business banking landscape
  • Agile project methodology
