Purpose Statement

To contribute towards the effective functioning of the entire SA cash supply chain, and especially the touchpoints between Capitec and the broader cash industry function through:

  • Applying analytical and various process management techniques to identify areas of improvements / enhanced efficiency within the cash supply chain, whilst providing support for the greater cash team.
  • To represent Capitec at Cash Industry forums, contributing specialist expertise towards discussions and drawing up formal responses on behalf of the bank to selected / allocated issues. 
  • Identification of cost saving methods to support the development of a more sustainable cash management function.
  • Understanding of the flow of cash for businesses and identify areas of improvements to reduce costs for business clients
  • Effective operational planning and execution of the cash value chain and life cycle.

Experience

Minimum:

  • 5 Years of experience in a Supply Chain and Logistics related Environment (FMCG, Manufacturing)
  • Proven data, systems and process analysis experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering results and enhancing processes through process analysis and problem solving

Ideal:

  • 5+ Years of experience in a Supply Chain and Logistics related Environment (FMCG, Manufacturing)
  • Previous experience in resource planning and scheduling
  • Data visualisation tools and technologies
  • Engaging with 3rd party vendors

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Industrial or Logistics

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Certification in Engineering - Industrial or Logistics

Knowledge

Minimum:

  • Supply chain management
  • Continuous improvement techniques and methodologies
  • Process management techniques
  • Data and analytics
  • Planning and forecasting processes and technologies
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles

Ideal:

  • Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP) accreditation and principles
  • Engaging with 3rd party vendors
