About the role
As the Behavioural Analyst you will enable impactful and engaging digital financial education experiences by applying behavioural science, UX principles, and data-driven insights to optimise learning engagement, drive user acquisition, and design targeted communication programmes that help clients improve their financial behaviour. You will design personalised insights programmes, targeted, proactive fraud awareness and education and utilizing UX optimisation for digital financial education solutions.
We are seeking a Behavioural Analyst who is passionate and excited about the mission of helping South Africans build their financial knowledge and improve their financial wellbeing, and who is motivated by the impact this work can have.
Key Performance areas:
Lead contribution and responsibilities
- Develop and implement proactive fraud awareness communication programmes that deliver timely and relevant messaging to users
- Leverage behavioural science insights to craft compelling, action-oriented fraud education content Determine optimal communication channels and touchpoints to maximise message effectiveness and engagement
- Work with data and fraud teams to identify high-risk segments and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Design and implement a measurement framework to track effectiveness in reducing fraud incidents and improving user awareness Continuously refine messaging and delivery methods based on user engagement and behavioural response data
- Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities for embedding fraud prevention mechanisms into client journeys
- Provide expert input on fraud education strategies across all digital and physical touchpoints
- Align fraud education initiatives with broader financial education goals to enhance overall financial resilience
Function/role specific
- Apply behavioural science principles to enhance user experience, content effectiveness, and learning engagement
- Conduct user research and data analysis to identify pain points, opportunities, and areas for optimisation in digital financial education solutions
- Develop strategies to improve acquisition, engagement, completion, and retention rates on digital financial education solutions
- Collaborate with UX designers, content creators, and developers to refine learning journeys and digital interactions
- Provide strategic input into the development of the long-term digital financial education roadmap
- Champion a user-centric, data-driven approach to financial education, ensuring alignment with business goals and user need
Our ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years’ experience in behavioural science, UX research/design, digital product optimisation, or applied consumer psychology in a financial, tech, or education setting
- Experience in designing and implementing behavioural interventions, personalisation strategies, or customer engagement programmes using quantitative and qualitative data-driven insights
- Experience work with cross-functional teams Experience in financial services, fintech, digital learning, or consumer education would be a strong advantage

- A relevant degree in Psychology or Data Analysis

A relevant tertiary qualification in Science or Other
