About The Role
Are you passionate about delivering impactful solutions that touch millions of lives? Capitec’s Savings team is looking for a dynamic Business Analyst to help shape the future of banking for every client. Join a team at the heart of Capitec, responsible for the bank’s core savings products—including main accounts, access anytime, fixed accounts, and notice deposits. You’ll work closely with the product manager, business engineers, and developers to drive innovation and ensure seamless client experience.
Education (Minimum)
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
- Certification in Business Analysis
Knowledge and Experience
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in Business Analysis, with a proven track record of delivering client-facing features and solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, using business rules, data, insight and communication to shape decisions and drive alignment.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills, supported by a critical thinking mindset.
- A high level of adaptability, thriving in agile, fast-paced environments where priorities can shift rapidly.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Background in engineering, computer science, finance, or similar fields—experience in financial services related to retail banking is a plus, but not required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver new features and enhancements that directly impact 24 million clients.
- Partner with Product Manager, Business Engineers and stakeholders to define problem statements, desired outcomes and measures of success.
- Analyse and enhance the full lifecycle of savings products, identifying friction points and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and system/data analysis to elicit and document clear, actionable requirements.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced, agile environment to drive change and maintain alignment across teams.
- Document processes, customer journeys, data flows and non-functional requirements.
- Work closely with solution architects and engineers to shape solution options and high-level designs and integration contracts (API’s/events)
- Support testing activities to ensure all solutions meet business requirements and comply with financial regulatory standards.
