About the Role

The aim of this role is to use behavioural economics principles and analytics to create education and incentive programs to help clients to improve their credit health (and help Capitec to improve bad debt performance). Our Ideal Candidate

Minimum:

  • 4 - 6 years’ experience in retail credit analysis (or marketing analytics) (including programming in SQL / SAS / R / Python, descriptive and diagnostic analytics, statistical modelling, and data visualisation).
  • In case of Honours degree: 3 - 5 years’ experience in retail credit analysis (including SQL programming and descriptive analytics).  
  • Credit intelligence performance and optimisation.
  • Experience with Stakeholder engagement.

Ideal: 

  • Experience in Behavioural Economics and Design Thinking
  • Experience in assuming a leadership role during a project.
  • Portfolio specific experience
  • Capitec Bank experience

Qualification

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance / Maths/ Statistics/ Behavioural Economics/ Quantitative Risk Management

Ideal:

  • Relevant post graduate qualification in Finance/ Maths/ Statistics/ Behavioural Economics/ Economics/ Quantitative Risk Management

What will you be doing

  • Lead the analysis, design and proposal of credit intelligence policies/solutions/processes/ strategies.
  • Address credit intelligence business problems.
  • Statistical modelling.
  • Reporting.
  • Best practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
