Purpose Statement

  • To  design and implement robust cyber security architectures for Capitec’s information systems to identify potential security risks and develop strategies to protect the organization's data and systems.

Experience

Minimum/Ideal:

  • 4+ yrs experience in security architecture with experience of architecting, building, and supporting transformational enterprise-wide cloud security projects.
  • Applying technical writing skills and developing and implementing security reference architectures and security patterns.
  • Of cloud security architectures, DevSecOps, secure SDLC and application security testing
     

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology

Knowledge

Minimum/Ideal:

  • Security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Secure network architecture, identity and access management principles, and application security principles.
  • Project Management principles and processes
  • Programming
  • Data Centre infrastructure architecture.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust and modern Identity centric security architectures
  • Knowledge of Azure Cyber Security Architecture
  • Knowledge of Information Security concepts such as encryption using keys, SSL or HTTPS
  • An understanding of privileged access management solutions | 
  • An understanding of the key technology capabilities: endpoint – EDR / XDR – extended detection and response | SOAR – Security Orchestration and Response | Data Protection, Classification, Encryption, Key Management | SDLC – Secure Dev Ops | SASE / Zero Trust Network Access | Attack Surface Management | SOC – Security Operations Centre
