Purpose Statement
To be responsible for the tactical, operational, day to day management of the website marketing function, ensuring alignment with broader departmental goals and business objectives; planning, team leadership and quality assurance, while overseeing the delivery and direction, governance, and performance of Capitec’s Group websites.
To interpret the department business plan and drive website marketing innovation, operational excellence and alignment with Capitec’s brand and digital engagement strategy.
Qualifications (Minimum)

A relevant degree in Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Social Science or Project Management
Qualifications (Advantageous)

Ideally: A postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Leadership, or Strategic Communications is advantageous, and/or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile)
Knowledge and Experience
Experience:
- 7+yrs experience in a digital environment, with at least 3 years experience of leading or managing people and preferably within a corporate or agency environment, including:
- Proven experience in leading creative teams and managing complex website projects.
- Website development, maintenance and communications
- Content Management System experience
- Website analysis / search engine optimisation
- Various technology infrastructures (CSS, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy.)
- Digital marketing platforms and technologies and how content is created and distributed on these channels.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing departmental strategies and standards.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in marketing, communications, and design.
- Track record of continuous improvement, innovation, and staying current with industry trends.
- Translating business needs into departmental goals and actionable plans.

- Understanding of writing, designing, editing, proofing in respect of websites
- Website maintenance | Installing website updates and bug fixes
- Content management system experience
- Communications practices and principles
- Basic understanding of programming languages
- Stakeholder engagement methods
- Digital communication tools, practices, principles and methods
- Search Engine Optimization | Google Analytics
- User experience principles and approaches
- Website risk, compliance and security management
- Content marketing
- Project management - managing timelines, resources, and budgets across multiple projects.
- Knowledge of departmental planning, budgeting, and performance management.
- Awareness of legal and compliance standards related to website marketing (e.g., copyright, usage rights).
- Visual storytelling, brand alignment and audience engagement.
