About the role

As a Visual Communications Designer: Brand Design at Capitec, you’ll help shape and evolve our brand through impactful visual storytelling. Working across marketing and digital campaigns, you’ll design compelling assets that align with our brand identity. Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and stakeholders to create engaging content for various platforms while ensuring consistency and innovation. Minimum:

• Industry-standard design software (Adobe Cloud, Figma, Sketch, InVision, Abstract etc.)
• At least 5 – 8 years' proven experience in advertising and communications environment with specific
• exposure in an advertising agency/internal studio environment as a designer
• Proven experience in the application of web campaigns, including the social media environments
• Retail marketing and branding
• Proven experience with design systems
• Proven exposure to a variety of brands, brand work and retail accounts
• Experience in Art Direction
• Ideation and prototyping
• Presentation and virtual collaboration techniques
• Working on multiple brands

Our ideal candidate has:

• 8+ years’ experience in an advertising and communications environment with a specific exposure in an advertising agency / internal studio environment
• At least 2 – 5 years’ experience in a digital agency
• Experience in mobile app development (user interface design etc.)
• Experience in web animation
• 3D & animation development
• Prototyping and user testing
• Experience in working in a high-performance team, dealing with volumes (fast-paced and high-pressure environment)

Qualifications

Qualifications (Minimum)

A relevant tertiary qualification in Design

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

A relevant post-graduate qualification in Design
